Russia said on Saturday it had arrested 11 people including four suspected gunmen in connection with a shooting rampage that killed 143 people in a concert hall near Moscow, the deadliest attack in Russia for 20 years.

If the Islamic State’s claim that it was behind the Moscow concert hall attack is proved correct, it would be the latest in the number of jihadist attacks in or against Russia in recent years.

Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the attack, the deadliest in Russia since the Beslan school siege in 2004.
