MILLBURY Dec. 8 and 9, both Millbury s and Sutton s senior centers received dozens of brand new winter jackets, warm socks and protective masks courtesy of Sheriff Lew Evangelidis and a non-profit organization.
Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis along with the sheriff s office annual winter coat drive co-sponsor, the Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging (CMAA), donated and delivered hundreds of brand new winter jackets, warm socks and protective masks to help elderly residents throughout Worcester County stay warm this winter season. Especially during the holiday season, it is vitally important to remember those who may be struggling during this challenging time, said Evangelidis.
