The Delhi Traffic Police Helpline received 23 calls related to traffic jam, seven regarding waterlogging and two related to uprooting of trees from various parts of the city, an official said

A portion of a road caved in as incessant rains pounded Delhi leading to waterlogging and uprooting of trees that caused massive traffic snarls in many parts of the capital on Thursday.

Light to moderate rainfall lashed the national capital today, affecting the movement of traffic. Parts of the city also witnessed waterlogging due to the rains.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said "European style" roads will soon be a reality in Delhi as he reviewed the streetscaping projects on Wednesday.
