After New Brunswick became the first province to offer online testing for drivers last fall, Service New Brunswick has added a new online motorcycle test.
The test, which is already available online, is an add-on to the previously launched written beginner driver test.
New riders writing the motorcycle test still have to complete a motorcycle safety course as part of the province’s graduated licencing system for the vehicles, which has been in effect since 2015.
The motorcycle road test itself is something Service New Brunswick Minister Mary Wilson says was in high demand last year.
“Last year due to COVID we offered the test through the motorcycle safety courses, but this year we have moved the test online,” said Service New Brunswick Minister Mary Wilson in a release. “The motorcycle road test will also be available this year, however we expect demand to be high and we ask for patience when trying to book it.”
