Ann Arbor awards $1.6 million construction contract for South Industrial Highway project

ANN ARBOR, MI Ypsilanti-based construction firm Doan Construction Company was chosen to complete Ann Arbor’s $1.6 million South Industrial Highway concrete repair project.
Ann Arbor City Council approved a resolution to award the contract to Doan Construction at its April 5 meeting.
Doan Construction was the lowest bidder with a bid amount of $1,071,197.58, which is 40% lower than the city engineer’s estimate of $1,800,623.80 and $163,451.26 lower than the next lowest bidder, according to city staff.
Six bids for the project were received on Feb. 16, after project plans and specifications were distributed through the city’s procurement website, officials said.
Public feedback for South Industrial Highway project being sought by Ann Arbor officials

ANN ARBOR, MI The city of Ann Arbor wants to hear from residents about changes happening from Stadium Boulevard to Eisenhower Parkway as part of the 2021 South Industrial Highway Project.
On top of pavement markings for bicycle left turns at signalized intersections and concrete repairs to provide a smoother surface, improvements to update the corridor include dedicated bike lanes, a pedestrian mid-block crossing near TheRide’s facility and other accessibility upgrades.
Residents can complete a survey to help the city understand how they currently use the corridor and how they plan to use the streets after changes are implemented, as well as to answer any questions or concerns about the project.
