Suspects charged with the murders of rapper Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and his friend chef Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane are to apply for bail in the Durban magistrate's court on Wednesday.
The detective investigating the murders of Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and his friend, chef Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane, outside Wish on Florida in February last year alleges the source of an R800,000 payoff was Durban businessman Sydney Mfunda Gcaba.
Police on Tuesday announced that they had been playing their cards close to their chests in regards to the Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane murder case, saying they had made arrests as far back as April 2023.
"I expected a version of AKA that I had seen earlier: someone pompous and cocky and very superstar-like. He was really nice to me, as if he had known me a while.”
