With rising inflation affecting the cost of food, housing, and gas, New Brunswick university students are feeling anxious about tuition increases set for the fall.

Mount Allison’s Board of Regents officially approved the 2022-23 University budget at its spring meeting earlier this week.

With the temperature rising, tick season is at its peak. The rate of Lyme disease infection in blacklegged ticks in large parts of Nova Scotia is 40 per cent, according to a Mount Allison research lab.

Mount Allison University President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau has been named to Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEO list for 2022. The announcement was made at a gala event in Halifax, NS on May 12.

The honour of being named Class Valedictorian at Mount Allison University is not one to be taken lightly. And Hanna Fuzesi, the 2022 speaker, does not.

Associate psychology professor and department head Dr. Lisa Dawn Hamilton is the 2022 recipient of the Herbert and Leota Tucker Teaching Award at Mount Allison University. The award is the highest teaching honour at the University. 

Six Mount Allison University professors have been named the 2021 recipients of the Paul Paré Excellence Awards, recognizing their contributions in research, scholarship, and creative activities. 

Dr. Karl Hele, professor in Canadian and Indigenous Studies is the 2022 recipient of the Paul Paré Medal at Mount Allison University. The Medal recognizes outstanding research and scholarship among faculty members.
