Every story has a beginning and an end, everything in between is just a story…
The oldest stories known come from the Aborigine people of Australia. Their stories go back at least 30,000 years.
They are passed on orally by the tribe’s elders under a rigid tradition called “the law” which ensures the preservation of the Aborigines ancient tribal narratives.
Linguistic scholars who have studied them have noted the Aborigines ability to sustain “the inter-generational scaffolding needed to transmit stories over vast periods.” 1
Aborigine tribal lore has been academically documented to chronicle the thawing of the Ice Age and the flooding of the Australian coastline thirteen-thousand years ago.2

There’s a reason it’s long been a gap-year favourite and an antipodean utopia for British travellers. Here you can take intrepid steps into remote caves filled with ancient, Aboriginal rock art, come face to face with a 6ft cassowary in the wild, and sleep under the Milky Way as you’ve never seen it before, unsullied by light pollution all of this in an easily navigable, English-speaking country with an excellent standard of living.

Nestled in Australia s Northern Territory, right around the center of the continent, lies Ayers Rock, a towering monolith of red sandstone standing tall in the midst of a desert. It s an imposing and impressive sight, one which really does go to show the power and beauty of nature.
However, the rock formation is a lot more than a natural marvel. Ayers Rock has a pretty long history, and for much of that time, it was known solely as a monument of spiritual importance. But that wasn t meant to last. Parts of Ayers Rock s history the relatively recent parts, especially are tied up with injustices which, sadly, are common to not only other parts of Australia but other parts of the world.
