Stars Launch MPTF s 100th Anniversary Campaign

Look to the Stars May 3, 2021 MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) last week hosted a very special virtual press conference to kick off their 100th Anniversary Campaign, revealing how MPTF plans to build its foundation for the next 100 years to support working and retired industry members. Just days after being honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Oscars, MPTF President and CEO Bob Beitcher was joined by Yvette Nicole Brown (MPTF NextGen Board of Directors), George Clooney (MPTF Board of Directors), Jodie Foster (Supporter of MPTF), Jim Gianopulos (Chairman – MPTF Board of Directors), Tony Goldwyn (MPTF Board of Governors), and Jeffrey Katzenberg (Chairman – MPTF Board of Governors, MPTF Board of Directors) to highlight the importance of the organization and the ways in which this ambitious fundraising campaign will help to build a future for those in the industry for the next 100 years.

Gary Oldman, LeAnn Rimes, Diane Warren, Macy Gray, D-Nice and More Join MPTF s Iconic Night Before Event April 23, 2021 MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) has announced the star-studded line-up of performers that will join the 19th annual “Night Before” party, which will take place virtually on Saturday, April 24. Legendary artists including Gary Oldman, D-Nice, The E. Family ft Pete Escovedo, Sheila E., Juan Escovedo, and Peter Michael Escovedo, Macy Gray, and Jeff Ross will deliver memorable musical and comedy moments for guests, who will also be treated to a performance from the night’s host, Wayne Brady. 12-time Oscar nominee Diane Warren will participate in a special segment, highlighting some of her most memorable nominated songs with performances from LeAnn Rimes, El DeBarge, Laura Pausini, and Brandon Victor Dixon. The night will also include special appearances from Lena Hall and Carla Renata.

Look to the Stars February 11, 2021 MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) and BrightFocus Foundation today announced a special Valentine’s virtual concert featuring acclaimed multi-hyphenate and Grammy-nominated vocalist Seth MacFarlane in support of the two nonprofits working together on research and care around Alzheimer’s disease. This a collaboration rooted in science and compassion. Valentine’s Concert with Seth MacFarlane: An Evening of Songs Benefiting MPTF and BrightFocus Foundation will be live streamed at Variety.com at 7:00 p.m. Pacific, 10:00 p.m. Eastern on February 13, and will offer a way to connect and share community with music and mission during these unprecedented and difficult times.
