NATIONAL NEWS - Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga, will announce the results of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations in Pretoria on Monday.
The matric exams concluded on 15 December 2020 after a strenuous academic year. The release of the matric results have been approved by Umalusi, the Quality Council in General and Further Education and Training.
The Department of Basic Education said result queries should be submitted for investigation within 30 days after the release of results.
“Candidates must ensure that names and identity numbers reflect correctly on their statement of results and report any required corrections to the department before 30 June 2021.

(CAJ News) – YOUTH, orphaned children, people with disabilities as well as abused and neglected women west of Johannesburg can now harness the power of technology to transform their lives.
This follows the MTN South Africa Foundation handing over a 20-seater multimedia centre at Bambisandla Sam Youth Centre, in Carletonville, in partnership with the Department of Social Development.
The initiative forms part of MTN’s drive to support the United Nations’ (UN) 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence (GBV), which takes place every year between November 25 and December 10.
South Africa: SA commemorates International Human Rights Day
As South Africa joins the global community in commemorating the International Human Rights Day, Social Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu and Deputy Minister Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu will today participate in various activities that draw attention to human rights issues.
Bogopane-Zulu, in partnership with the MTN SA Foundation will launch a multimedia centre for the youth at Bambisandla Sam Centre in Carletonville, Gauteng.
The state-of-the-art multimedia centre comprises 22 computers fitted with an interactive board that allows the educator to present the class curriculum to the learners.
The department said that the opening of the multimedia centre comes in the midst of the global COVID-19 pandemic, which has given rise to the need for free access to education on digital and remote learning platforms, especially for learners in disadvantaged communities across the country.
