Silver opened at Rs 74,779 per kg and hit an intraday low of Rs 74,744 on the MCX. In the international market, the price was around $24.69 per ounce.

As per the BSE holiday calendar, trading holidays have been announced for 14 days in 2024. Previously the stock markets were closed on January 26 for Republic Day, March 8 for Shivratri and March 25 for Holi.

Silver opened at Rs 74,487 per kg and hit an intraday low of Rs 74,359 on the MCX. In the international market, the price hovered around $24.45 per ounce.

Gold traded higher by 300rs around 66300 in MCX as Comex gold found support near 2170$ and rallied to 2195$ with backed up from the FEDs dovish statements the gold prices are broadly in positive trend, said Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst, LKP Securities.
