The Goa police on Saturday arrested seven members of a gang, all hailing from Mumbai, for allegedly stealing high-end mobile phones worth Rs 25 lakh during the Sunburn EDM festival.
"In the first week of September, the four accused had come across the complainant in a tea stall in the western suburbs. They showed him a note worth one dollar and asked whether it was genuine," said a police officer.
Ambivali is a village notorious for accommodating Irani and Baluchi gang members and their families. A few policemen sustained injuries in stone pelting from local residents as they arrested Firoz Khan.
