On Wednesday, Mayor Jaime Fresnedi held an emergency meeting with the Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (DDRM), other departments, and barangay officials and discussed the recommended measures in preparation for the storm.
“It is important that we prepare,” said the mayor, adding that Muntinlupa may be affected by the storm based on the projection of authorities.

According to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the fire started at about 12:19 a.m. from the second floor of a house on No. 41 Interior, Ilaya St. in Alabang occupied by a certain Diego and Ruby, and owned by Delia Japitana.
The fire quickly spread and the first alarm was at 12:22 a.m. and reached the third alarm at 12:29 a.m. Firefighters declared the fire under control at 1:49 a.m. and it was put out at 2:48 a.m.
Eleven fire trucks, five water tankers, two ambulances and 25 volunteers responded to the incident. No one was injured in the fire and the Muntinlupa City Fire Station estimated the damage to property at P1 million.
