Priority at this time. Vanessa Murphy the Department Said this was a technology issue. Which workers tried to figure out. After the Communications Center started experiencing problems with 911 and 311 calls around 3 30 this afternoon. After that a notice went out from the department. Saying again, there could be a delay for 911 calls. And asking the public not to call 31 1. Because officers would only be responding to true emergencies. Metro was routing calls to North Las Vegas and henderson. And the Department Says metro employees were there to deal with those calls. Vanessa Murphy but again tonight 911 back up and running according to the department. Wit h no delays. But the department will try to figure out how and why this happened.
