El Dorado Hospital - The Arkansas General Assembly committed $12 million to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to

South Arkansas Regional Hospital (SARH) recently announced it will be the new hospital entity, previously called the Medical Center of Arkansas. Through the collaboration of SHARE Foundation, Murphy USA Charitable Foundation, Murphy Foundation, and AR Health Ventures -- a nonprofit entity associated with UAMS -- the new nonprofit hospital will be formed with the aspiration of expanding and upgrading healthcare in South Arkansas.

South Arkansas Regional Hospital (SARH), has bought Medical Center of South Arkansas (MCSA) and its related businesses, including physician clinic operations and outpatient services from subsidiaries of Community Healthy Systems, Inc.

El Dorado nonprofit

A consortium of groups, including entities tied to the Murphy family, have formed a nonprofit to buy the 166-bed Medical Center of South Arkansas of El Dorado.

A new nonprofit organization has signed an agreement to purchase Medical Center of South Arkansas and its related businesses, including physician clinic operations and outpatient services from subsidiaries of Community Health Systems, Inc.

For generations these Arkansas families have made vital contributions to the state’s economic landscape, while also maintaining a commitment to giving back through numerous philanthropic endeavors.
