Torrential rain and powerful winds have battered Sydney and surrounding regions for a fourth consecutive day with the NSW Central Coast right in the firing line.
The Bureau of Meteorology warned the heavy deluge battering Australia s east coast is finally forecast to ease on Friday, meaning more misery is yet to come.
A severe weather warning of heavy rain and damaging winds is in place for Sydney, the NSW Central Coast and Hunter with Gosford, Cessnock, Maitland, Dungog and Kulnura in the firing line.
