Consultants recommend larger, more centralized library in Victorville to City Council

The construction of a new public library in Victorville was the No. 1 recommendation offered in a report submitted to the City Council earlier this week.
Consultants from Godfrey’s Associates a library consulting firm presented their Library Master Plan during Tuesday s Victorville City Council meeting, while making other suggestions, as well, such as increased library funding, the hiring of a children’s librarian and improving technology for self-checkout options.
But the size of Victorville’s existing city library, located off Seventh Street, appeared to be the biggest sticking point during the presentation.
