Carat Brisbane anounces new head of client partnerships

Dentsu Queensland has hired Emily Cook as head of client partnerships for Carat Brisbane, a role that will see the Queensland native return home after years spent working in Sydney and Melbourne.
Cook served as the media lead for the Vodafone account at Wavemaker Sydney for the past three years, and was previously client lead on the Group M agency’s Nestlé account.
She also spent time at MediaCom and Media Merchants in Brisbane, working across senior buying and planning, as well as content roles. Mumbrella understands that Cook’s role will be replaced shortly.
Active International names Sarah Keith as group MD as Cameron Swan moves to UK

Involved Media’s managing director Sarah Keith is set to become group managing director of Active International Australia and Involved Media as part of a company restructure.
Current managing director Cameron Swan will depart the country to head to London to become managing director of Active International UK, where he will report to Active International CEO Dean Wilson.

Volkswagen rears Amaroks like horses in W-Series launch via DDB

Volkswagen’s Amarok W-Series launch imagines a place where utes roam free and must be reared by expert handlers before they’re released onto the road.
It all takes place at Walkinshaw Station, the setting for the integrated W-Series launch campaign created with DDB Group Sydney, and rolls out with a brand proposition ‘Reared for the road’.
The hero TVC depicts the Amaroks as if they were horses, with their handlers training and refining the utes until they’ve been ‘reared for the road’. After which, they’re allowed to depart Walkinshaw Station and are released onto the road.
Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre unveils post-COVID brand reset

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has unveiled its new brand positioning, off the back of a year in which, CEO Peter King admits, COVID sent the business back “to zero”.
The rebrand centres around a new positioning statement that sees the MCEC become ‘home of the unconventional’, with the brand transformation created with partner FutureBrand Australia.

Speaking with Mumbrella, King revealed that during time spent reflecting when the pandemic forced the MCEC to close doors, future planning, not just getting back to normal as quickly as possible, was on the agenda.
iProspect Australia announces multiple new appointments

iProspect Australia has announced several staffing changes, with multiple new hires and a promotion coming as the Dentsu performance agency strengthens its leadership team.
CEO Oliver Rapson today revealed the hires of Nicola Barnes, Jason Smith and Chris Jahnsen, plus the promotion of Sam Bremner.

Barnes joins iProspect as group investment director, bringing more than ten years experience, most recently at sister agency Carat as its media investment director.
