First responders keeping Logan County safe

Lincoln Courier The uncertain environment of the 2020 pandemic has made an impact on members of the Lincoln Rural Fire Department. Trevor Matheny, Captain who also serves as the Fire/Arson Investigator and EMS Coordinator, said the concept of a pandemic was unthinkable. “In the beginning it was hard for all of us to understand what was happening around us. Guidelines would change quickly and the more time went on the public started to understand. Working in the COVID environment was high stress and it changed how we interacted with each other and the calls we went on,” said Matheny.
