The two policemen and a civil tracker, who were martyred in an operation against dacoits in Shikarpur district s riverbed area in Khanpur on Sunday, were laid to rest on Monday. Police officers vowed to continue the operation until the area is cleared of outlaws.
A notable feudal lord of the Sardar Tegho Khan Teghani was reportedly arrested from Karachi along with his two sons and a nephew in connection with the incident. He is known for wielding influence on the bandits of his area.

KARACHI: The Sindh government on Monday has agreed to launch a grand operation against criminals in Shikarpur’s katcha area with the assistance of military and Rangers.
This was revealed by Sindh Minister for Mines and Minerals Mir Shabbir Bijarani in a statement.
“The military troops and Rangers personnel will launch an operation against bandits in katcha area along with the Sindh police,” the statement said.
