Lotha Hoho disowns Naga Mothers Association

DIMAPUR After the Angami Public Organisation and Chakhesang Public Organisation, the Lotha Hoho (LH) has also disowned the Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) saying the association does not have the mandate of the Lotha tribe. The hoho in a press communiqué stated that consequent upon the imbroglio of 2017 ULB election initiatives, resulting in the death of several Naga youths, the Lotha Hoho and other Lotha organisations had disassociated from the then Naga Mothers Association “The Lotha organisations therefore have not nominated any representative to the NMA. This is to say that the NMA, if it still exists, has no mandate of the Lotha tribe,” LH said. DIMAPUR: The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has requested the government of Nagaland to distance itself from the Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA), saying that it is no longer a mandated organisation. It came two days after the Angami Public Organisation (APO) appealed to the state government to refrain from considering the “un-mandated” NMA from political and social issues.
