The Nainital forest department has enlisted the support of the Indian Air Force and the Indian Army to manage a forest fire that has been burning for more than 36 hours, resulting in the destruction of numerous hectares of greenery. Helicopters have been deployed by the district administration for firefighting efforts.

Reportedly, 26 incidents of forest fire occurred in the state’s Kumaon region in the last 24 hours, while five incidents occurred in Garhwal region, where 33.34 hectares of forest area was affected.
