Two Edmonton-area residents say they are still trying to get their money back nearly eight months after their reservations at a Parkland County glamping resort were cancelled.

Parkland County is adamant the work has been done to ensure the Canadian Carmelite Charitable Society expansion is safe for Chickakoo Lake.
County director of planning and development Nancy Domijan returned to Parkland County Council on Tuesday with a detailed presentation on the controversial development.

“A development permit was submitted in May 2018 and included replacing the church hall and meeting rooms, constructing a guest house building, removing all cabins and trailers, constructing a walkway connecting the church and guest house, underground parking, site work for grading, stormwater improvements and landscaping. The proposed new development would see the existing scattered development contained within the two buildings,” Domijan said.
