Silver Creek woman charged in assault on officer
A Silver Creek woman is facing charges of assault against a Buffalo police officer after allegedly striking him with a bullhorn Saturday morning.
Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced Tuesday that 21-year-old Savannah E. Karcz of Silver Creek was arraigned Sunday morning before Buffalo City Court Judge Kevin Keane on one count of second-degree assault and one count of exposure of a person.
Prosecutors say at approximately 9:58 a.m., Buffalo police officers were blocking the Ring Road entrance to Delaware Park when the defendant attempted to drive around the officer’s parked patrol vehicle. The defendant is accused of exiting her vehicle, hitting the patrol vehicle with her hands, and removing her shirt to expose her breasts.
