Chace Abney, who had a Nevada driver's license but was living in New York, was shot Monday by officers with the Lincoln police and the Nebraska State Highway Patrol, said Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner.

A New York man is in critical condition following an officer-involved shooting in west Lincoln Monday afternoon.

Chace Abney, 35, of New York, was critically wounded by Lincoln, Nebraska police and state highway patrol officers after opening fire on them.
