Plans reveal location for a new Whataburger proposed in Gallatin, more business on the way

View Comments The location of a proposed new Whataburger restaurant in Gallatin has been revealed through plans that have been submitted to the city. The preliminary plan is for the restaurant to be built on 1.28 acres Nashville Pike across from Walmart and next to Fifth Third Bank. The plan is set to go before the Gallatin Planning Commission on Monday. The Gallatin Whataburger is one of nine proposed corporate-owned sites in Middle Tennessee, and one of two in Sumner County. Another is in the works for Goodlettsville. Other new locations could include Lebanon, Hermitage, Rutherford County, and Mt. Juliet, according to state Rep. Darren Jernigan, who was recently invited to Whataburger Listening and Learning tour through Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
