NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) â A robbery suspect who was shot by a Metro Nashville Police officer has been released from the hospital and booked into jail.
Lamon Witherspoon, 30, was booked into the Downtown Detention Center Monday on charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated assault following his discharge from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

MNPD officials say Officer Wesley McClelland shot Witherspoon last week at an Exxon market on Brick Church Pike. Witherspoon is accused of robbing Nashville Pizza & Pasta on Dickerson Pike Jan. 24 and confronting one of the employees.
