May 21, 2021 01:11:44 PM Over 130 officers that passed out from the Fiji Police Academy at Nasova Ground last week are yet to get a posting. Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu said they remain at the Academy as they are currently assisting with operations within the Suva-Nausori containment zones. Tudravu in a statement said once containment borders open up, the officers will be deployed to their respective Units and Stations. “A low key pass-out due to the pandemic but officers were formally welcomed by the acting head as the newest members of the institution,” he said. “The low-key event was a sign of how unpredictable the policing profession will be, no one ever imagined that we would be conducting this parade wearing masks.

The Fiji Police Force Batch 1 of 2021 Basic Recruits Course rounded up their training this week with the Community Policing Engagement which was conducted at the six villages in Nadi.
The objective of the engagement was to demonstrate community involvement and the importance of the community to police operations.
Nadi District representative Isaia Saukuru acknowledged the institution for giving them a chance to host Batch 1 of 2021 BRC.
“Seeing young people training to become Police Officers has encouraged our youths to pursue a career in law enforcement. Most of us are dependent on our hotel industries but seeing these young people from Nasova here in Nadi has encouraged many to become Police Officers,” Mr Saukuru said.
