Hanoi (VNA) – An aid package of 810,00
high-quality face masks donated by the Vietnamese Government on May 6 arrived in Dili, Timor-Leste, which is facing a surge in COVID-19 cases.
Australia had arranged the transportation of the batch
of face masks from Hanoi to Dili by sea.
Timor-Leste has also been hit by floods and landslides
triggered by tropical cyclone Seroja which causes damage across the country including its national medical

Hanoi (VNA) - The Civil
Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has issued an urgent dispatch asking its units
to seriously follow
COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
Instances of neglected or irresponsible
activities as well as improper implementation of regulations and directions on
pandemic prevention and control will be strictly handled in line with law,
the dispatch said.
The
CAAV requested the
implementation of the Ministry of Health’s 5K message: Khau trang (face masks),
Khu khuan (disinfectant), Khoang cach (distancing), Khong tu tap (no gatherings),

HCM City (VNA) - HCM City on May 7 ordered more non-essential
service venues to shut down from 6pm due to the growing complexity of the
COVID-19 pandemic globally and locally.
The decision will be applied to indoor sports facilities (gyms, fitness
centres, yoga centres, billiard halls), wedding venues, buffet restaurants, dining
establishments providing karaoke and singalong services, and karaoke parlours.
Events and activities gathering more than 30 people in public places
will also be banned.
