The Oregon Bankers Association (OBA) inducted
Fred Postlewait, founder and former president and CEO of Oregon Coast Bank in Newport, into the Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame during the Oregon Bank Leadership Symposium held in December.
Induction into the Oregon Bankers Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed peer-to-peer within the Oregon banking community. It recognizes the outstanding contributions inductees have made to the Oregon banking industry, to the OBA, and to the communities in which they live and work.
Postlewait started his banking career in 1972 in data processing and operations at Oregon Mutual Savings Bank. In 1979, he moved to The Bank of Newport where he served in a variety of positions ranging from operations officer to cashier to chief financial officer to interim president and CEO.
