andrea mitchell reports and from tucson, arizona, white house correspondent and co-host of the daily rundown, savannah guthrie, back in your hometown, circumstances aren't so great. tell us what you've seen since you've been out there and what you're expecting over the next day or so. >> reporter: well, we know the president is going to come here. this is something aides were thinking about early on. the university of arizona extended an invitation to the president and he accepted 6:00 eastern time last night. the president and first lady will come here for a public memorial service at the sports arena here. there will be a native-american blessing and poetry reading and time for the community to come together. the president has said he feels a need to speak to the sense of loss, as i understand it, even though aides really started working on this speech in earnest just last night, really
