a special welcome to director young, who has had a very busy past few weeks and we look forward to your testimony. the budget is a statement of values that makes clear what we prioritize. president biden s dget wld lower costs for households, strengthen medicare and protect social security. vest in our kids, families, and communities. reducing the deficit and making our corrted tax code fairer. it is decidedly not budget for b billionaires and for creepy billionaires and fossil fuel overlords. it s a budget for families. thes investments are more than worthwhile, they are overdue. i challenge anyone to sayt isn t worthwhile to make investments in our kids. this would create childcare options for 60 million kids and fund pre-k access for four-year-olds and restore the full child tax credit which we beta tested ansaw work wonderfully well through covid. i challenge anyone to say that it isn t wohwhile to ensure that workers can care for a child or loved one and keep a stead
