Lesser Known Lovelies sale set for April 15
The 2021 Lesser Known Lovelies Plant Sale will occur online and in-person with proceeds benefiting Dillon Nature Center. Last year s event became a call-in fundraiser as the COVID-19 pandemic limited in-person shopping, so organizers are excited and ready to host gardeners this month.
DNC members are allowed to order their plants online between April 15-19 before the public is able to purchase their plants in person on Saturday, April 24.
The Lesser Known Lovelies Plant Sale features unique plants that can withstand the hot and windy Kansas summers. There is an assortment of varieties of plants including Gomphrena, Brazilian Buttercup, Milkweed, and some premium Lovelies including two colors of Angelonia, Pentas in red velvet and white, and Creeping Vinca in two colors.
