Central fuel station, warehouse to be constructed at Camp Blaz

Marine Corps relocation-related construction will build a central fuel station, distribution warehouse, consolidated explosives ordnance disposal compound and a central issue facility at Camp Blaz in Dededo, according to a Naval Facilities Marianas memo.  Multiple human burials are near the site planned for the central fuel station. The burials are preserved in place, although it remains unclear how many there are, when they were found and other details. A permanent memorial will be installed at the location. A site with Latte period ceramic and other ancient remnants was also recorded near the central fuel station site. This area was subject to data recovery, which is an archeological process that records the site s information and removes valuable material for off-site preservation.
