Unitech: Additional Sessions Judge Navjeet Budhiraja passed the order on the bail applications of the Chandra brothers against whom the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police have registered an FIR for cheating, criminal breach of trust and criminal conspiracy.
The court granted bail to ex-promoters of Unitech, Sanjay Chandra and Ajay Chandra, who were accused of swindling home buyers. They had been in jail for about six years, and the court acknowledged that the inquiry and trial would take considerable time due to a large number of witnesses.
