The Bombay High Court today rejected the temporary medical bail plea of former Maharashtra minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik in a money laundering case.
Single judge bench Justice MS Karnik asked both parties to argue on the definition of sick person under Section 45 of the PMLA in order to determine whether Malik’s bail plea ought to be heard urgently or not.
The Bombay High Court will hear on December 13, the bail plea filed by former Maharashtra cabinet minister Nawab Malik in a money laundering offence involving underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday said it would list a plea by Nawab Malik seeking release from judicial custody in the money laundering case involving underworld don Dawood Ibrahim which is being investigated by the ED.
