A mobile court today fined two hotels Tk 4 lakh each for selling expired food in separate drives in Bogura.
The mobile court led by Wahidujjaman, executive magistrate of Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) conducted the drives at Naz Garden and the high-end Momo Inn, reports our local correspondent quoting Chinmay Pramanik, district food safety officer.
The mobile court conducted the drive in Naz Garden around 12:00pm and found expired packaged food items and rotten fruits in the refrigerators. Harmful inedible colours were also found being mixed with foods, the official said.
