7th Pay Commission: The DA hike, which will be effective from July 1, 2023, is expected to be 3 per cent, according to reports

Central government employees anticipate a salary increase with an expected dearness allowance hike.

Presently over one crore central government employees and pensioners are getting 38 per cent dearness allowance. Last revision in DA was done on September 28, 2022, which was effective from July 1, 2022. 

Dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief (DR) are revised twice a year, effective January 1 and July 1. The last hike raised the DA by 4% to 38%.

DA of Central government employees could increase by 4 per cent in the month of July 2022. 

The Central government has increased the dearness relief for beneficiaries of the Contributory Provident fund by 13%. 

7th Pay Commission: Central government revises DA, employees to get salary hike - All the central government pensioners and family pensioners will also be getting the benefits which have been fixed for the employees, from January 1.

The Central government employees could soon make a final decision on 18 months of DA arrears.
