Lot to israel. >> talk is cheap. previous presidents never followed through on the reality of what was on the ground. that is the capitol of israel has been and is jerusalem. now we have a president that is following through, not just on a campaign promise, but on u.s. policy. we are moving it like we should have been doing years ago. everyone complains that its going to destabilize. lets have a reality check here. what is 30 years, 50 years of not moving it there done for us? nothing the palest...

About dreamers. >> so thats interesting. because what im hearing from you and you can answer this, philip, is that the democrats maybe hate the wall and hate border security more than they want to help the daca recipients. is that correct. >> > the democrats sort of abandoned daca over the last week because of the gun debate. the president starts everything from the negotiating position and he had the gun debate, he actually out-maneuvered the democrats by bringing the families into the white ho...

That theyre worried about. >> right, i simply say that to make the point, that he does lie about these things. theyre worried about the one thing at hand, and if he cant tell his straight story -- if you have nothing to hide, you should talk, right? which, nora, brings me to the question of are they trying to use this as a negotiating position so they dont have to do it in person because thats when he opens himself up to hyperbole and lies, and theyre trying to have it on paper where his attorne...

Thing at hand, and if he cant tell his straight story -- if you have nothing to hide, you should talk, right? which, nora, brings me to the question of are they trying to use this as a negotiating position so they dont have to do it in person because thats when he opens himself up to hyperbole and lies, and theyre trying to have it on paper where his attorneys can answer things for him? >> im sure the presidents lawyers would love to be able to do written interrogatories and craft the presidents...

Tru some trump lawyers oppose trump doing this interview, this is the same position that bill clintons lawyers took, and it is a prudent, and lets be fair and clear a perfectly lawful negotiating position for lawyers to make. right now reports are that the two men on your screen, both trumps lawyers disagree about whether to do one or not. that its a classic lawyer leverage tactic, it adds uncertainty because mueller doesnt know how they will push this, because they know the -- clintons lawyers ...

Because of the defense sequester in place for the last few years. important we get past that issue and the issue of presidential leadership, there are people with concerns about what the president has done, but the notion he hasnt made his position on immigration clear, he has. i get a lot of people dont like it, thats a different question. hes told people what his negotiating position is. now, you know, we have to remember the longest government shutdown was in the last administration, so the i...

In a negotiating position because they feel the last time around that they got the better of this shutdown mess. i dont think anybody really thinks they are going to get it all wrapped up before february, which means in the short term you look at another continuing resolution. there is confidence that they are in a better negotiating position overall. >> dana: one strange thing that the house republicans decided to make, today is the day they push forward on the releasing of the congressman nune...

Proposal democrats wont budget on an immigration deal was a former speechwriter for george w. bush says while the man behind the art of the deal is not willing to compromise, the left wont budget. >> compare the negotiating position that we decide put out this week, donald trump just offered a path to citizenship for 1.8 million illegal immigrants in this country, double the daca population that includes not just the bull who applied for daca and not just legalization which people were discussin...

Heat. hes now getting the heat when he says things like this about a pathway to citizenship. so i dont know if hell stick to it when other people like his chief of staff and other hard liners on the white house staff get to him. the other piece of it is i do think that the democrats made a mistake. i dont think if youre senator schumer you can say thats it, the deal is off. when i offered all of this money for the border wall we will go back and start again. the president knows what the negotiat...

A huge concession for democrats. the reality when he put it out there, he didnt get anything in return so he undercut the democratic negotiating position. thats why hes walking this back saying actually were not going to put that much money on the table. the reality is, both parties will tell you that they do expect the money for the wall will be part of any daca deal. the question is when are they going to do this, can they overcome the other differences on immigration policy. i do expect well ...
