Concern has been raised archaeology may have been lost in the construction of a hydroelectric plant on the River Trent, although an investigation claims a lack of evidence to support this.
The plant is being built at Nether Lock, Newark, to harness the power generated from the flow of the Trent.
English Civil War enthusiast Sean Jackson and friends are currently mapping the townâs civil war defences.
