Telecommunications Engineering Centre: "An internal TEC committee is finalising the report on D2M. It will also take a call if ATSC 3.0 standards should be adopted into national norms, which will allow the broadcast of TV channels and content to mobile phones, similar to terrestrial broadcasting on TV," an official said. The report is expected to be out in coming weeks, the official added.

TEC is finalising a new draft report on D2M broadcasting and standards. A pilot project will test D2M technology in 19 cities. TVs reach is limited to homes, while there are a large number of smartphone users in the country.
