Local rescues tell Steve Andrews that bad news for hillsborough countys cats and dogs. Steve . Reporter josh, theres only so much room at the shelterment without a peep out of one of them. They agreed to pay the Humane Society of tampa bay about 100 grand to keep strays out of the pound. The problem, some say, is some animals they are importing are ending up there too. The Humane Society of tampa bay is dedicated to homelessness and providing care for others. That is one reason it rescues puppies from georgia and other states. Local rescues contend these imports are causing problems for the local animals. After a thursday county commission meeting, Humane Society scared off over this issue. You are not doing any good by pulling these puppies and bringing them to hillsborough where they end up back in the shelter. But they dont. No. Yes they do. Im not going to, argue with you on camera.
