you re watching cnn. i m brooke baldwin. now that the house judiciary committee passed the two articles of impeachment against the president, next week if it passes, an impeachment trial for removal for senate begins in january, but senate majority leader mitch mcconnell says he s already met with white house lawyers and says they have all agreed to coordinate on a strategy. everything i do during this i m coordinating with the white house counsel. we ll be working through this process hopefully in a fairly short period of time in total coordination with the white house counsel s office and the people who represent the president and the senate. democratic congressman sitting on the house intelligence and oversight committees casting his vote whether or not to impeach the president next week. congressman, nice to have you on. welcome back. thank you, brooke. a congressman and a lawyer. when you hear leader mcconnell saying, yes, i m coordinating
this. leadership is confident but several democrats haven t come out in favor of either or both of the articles of ch evimpeach. procedure wary getting to this point what they ran on and often won on in 2018. see where they end up. the other parlor game going on in washington, d.c. now is kind of a side piece of all this. that is, who were the house managers, who will they be for the senate trial? battling and jockeying going on between the suspects you expect, could be selected by speaker pelosi as manager in the united states senate. we don t have a firm idea but something could keep an eye on. probably end of wednesday, brooke, house of representatives will have voted to impeeve donald trump. only the third ti only the third time in the history of the united states. watching you and what s going on on capitol hill. thank you. and the would us is wasting

top official that this would be a game of rope-a-dope dragging out the proceeding longer. we expect one probably two weeks of public hearings. that followed by a thanksgiving recess week in which the committees would draft reports, recommendations about some of the next steps and what should happen, and then come back for the first week of december, when the house judiciary committee will take up the proceedings. one or two weeks of either public hearings followed by a vote for articles of impeachment and after that committee votes, brooke, that s when the full house would vote to impeach the president. that being probably the week running up to christmas. i should add the speaker nancy pelosi has not specified exactly how she wants to do this and declined to put a time frame on this, but at the moment what democrats are saying, these recent steps show clearly that they re moving on a fast track to could ultimately lead to the
