The pandemic has further highlighted how important broadband or a good digital connection is in North Devon.
Long before Covid, Selaine Saxby MP met with Clive Selley, CEO of Openreach, to work on a plan for further help in North Devon, above and beyond what had already been proposed and achieved by Connecting Devon and Somerset.
Since then, areas like Ash Mill, Kings Nympton, Tawstock, parts of Barnstaple, Newton Tracey and Braunton have all received extra attention from the Openreach team. The biggest and most challenging project has been the complete rollout of “Fibre To The Premises” in Lynton and Lynmouth which last week hit the 50% complete stage.
Suffolk sheep in a pen Stags of South Molton report another superb number of lambs this week. Trade very similar to last week for the 41- 46kg lambs but just a shade back for the heavier lambs. Not as good a quality entry this week as last, with a large amount of thick lambs on show. Buyers are definitely discounting the over thick lambs and there are a lot coming forward. Not many lighter lambs forward (under 42kgs) and a lot of lambs in the 47-50kg bracket. Best trade for the handy weight leaner lambs with a lot of these over the 215ppk mark.
