If the Denver Broncos are serious about acquiring Aaron Rodgers, they should also be serious about not drafting in the first round for the foreseeable future.
As the dots continue to connect the Green Bay Packers quarterback to the Mile High City, CBS Sports' Cody Benjamin presented four "potential offers" that could close arguably the biggest trade deal in NFL history.
QB Drew Lock, 2022 first-rounder, 2023 first-rounder, 2024 first-rounder, 2022 second-rounder, 2023 third-rounder
WR Courtland Sutton, 2022 first, 2023 first, 2024 first, 2022 second

Broncos Named 'Most Likely Trade Destination' for Packers QB Jordan Love
A potential match ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft.

A new challenger has emerged in the Denver Broncos Quarterback Sweepstakes.
According to FanDuel, the Broncos are the "most likely trade destination" for second-year Packers QB Jordan Love in the lead-up to next week's NFL Draft.
Love is the classic, prototypical Denver Broncos quarterback. He's a 6-foot-4, 220-pound gunslinger with a cannon for an arm and enough athleticism to be a threat on the ground. It's not hard to envision John Elway and George Paton talking themselves into a guy like that. While the No. 9 pick is probably too steep of a price for Denver to pay, the Broncos should be able to put together an enticing package for the Packers. And Green Bay would be happy to get Love out of the conference.
NFL News: Jimmy Garoppolo Tipped For Wild Trade Involving Star Quarterback – Report
KEY POINTS
Jimmy Garoppolo's future with the San Francisco 49ers could be uncertain
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith has urged the 49ers to send Garoppolo back to the Patriots
49ers GM John Lynch reveals his plans for the 29-year-old quarterback
A veteran sports journalist fancies seeing Jimmy Garoppolo make his return to the New England Patriots.
Following the massive draft picks trade between the Miami Dolphins and the San Francisco 49ers last month, Garoppolo’s future with the Niners is now deemed questionable.
Weighing in on the subject, famed ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith pictured a wild trade that would send Garoppolo to the Patriots, the team he has played for in his formative years in NFL. According to Smith, it would make sense for the 49ers to “return the favor” to the Pats and hand New England their quarterback back. In exchange, the Niners will get another big-name quarterback in Cam Newton.
NFL Rumors: Alex Smith Headed For Free Agency, Washington Could Trade For QB
03/01/21 AT 11:59 AM
A few months after becoming one of the great comeback stories in NFL history, Alex Smith is looking for a new team. The quarterback is expected to hit free agency for the 2021 offseason.
The Washington Football Team and Smith are set to part ways in the coming days, NFL Network reports. The veteran was set to earn an $18.75 million base salary next season.
Smith spent three seasons with Washington, missing most of that time because of a devastating leg injury that resulted in 17 surgeries. The 36-year-old returned to the field for the first time in two years on Oct. 10.
While all the attention has rightly been on a potential trade involving Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, it appears one of the QB's favorite targets, tight end Zach Ertz, is also getting shopped this offseason.
It's true. The Eagles aren't under yet up against any sort of deadline when it comes to trading quarterback Carson Wentz. But that time is coming soon. As is an all-important decision for not just general manager Howie Roseman, but for the entire state of the franchise as well.

Wilson is not thought to be available, though it’s noteworthy that multiple teams seem to think there’s at least a small chance the Seahawks might be open to trade talks.
