India News: NEW DELHI: Highway engineers can no longer decline to attend issues and pass the buck citing “jurisdictional” demarcations.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurates and lays foundation stones for 28 national highway projects in Odisha with an investment of ₹6,600 crore. These projects aim to enhance connectivity and promote economic development in the state.

Though his visit to Odisha was cancelled at the last minute, Gadkari launched these projects virtually. Among the inaugurated projects were a 79km four-lane road between Baharagora and Singhara on NH-49, valued at Rs 1,203 crore, and a 78km six-lane road from Chandikhol to Bhadrak on NH-16, costing Rs 2,035 crore.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate three NH projects in Odisha worth Rs 2,045 crore. The projects include the four-laning of NH-143 sections in Sundargarh and Keonjhar districts.

The central government has approved two major national highway projects in Dakshina Kannada. The projects will be taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 957 crore. Find out more about these projects and their significance.

India News: NEW DELHI: The Union cabinet on Wednesday approved two highway projects in Bihar and Tripura with a total estimated cost of Rs 5,550 crore.

Guwahati: Union minister for roads transport and highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 26 national highway projec.

Among the projects include 4-laning/2-laning with paved shoulder of Tinsukia-Makum bypass with a project cost of Rs. 459 crore, the 2-laning with paved shoulder of Bogapani to Golai Gaon with Digboi bypass at a project cost of Rs. 357 crore, the 2-laning with paved shoulder of Golai Gaon to Ledo with Margherita-Ledo bypass at a project cost of Rs. 643 crore, and 4-laning of Kandulijan Gaon – Simen Chapori road at a projected cost of Rs. 609 crore.

Bhubaneswar: Union education minister and senior state BJP leader Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday met road transport minister Nitin Gadkari to emphasi.

These projects will provide all-weather road connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir valley.
