Through the first three weeks of the 2024 spring season the Clare High School track teams have been exceptionally good.

In addition to winning the Peter J. Cutino award, Papanikolau was also named MVP of the NCAA Championship, ACWPC National Player of the Year, MPSF Player of the Year and a member of the ACWPC All-American first team.

The award is presented to the most outstanding male and female collegiate water polo players in the nation as voted by Division I coaches.

2x Olympic Champion, 2022 NCAA Champion and 2019 Cutino Award winner Makenzie Fischer is a finalist once again for the college game's top honor.

USC had three players — Wyatt Barker, Ashworth Molthen and Carson Kranz — net hat tricks in the win, while goalie Nic Porter hauled in 11 saves in the cage.
