The loss of an officer who was serving his community has left many people with a heavy heart.

He will continue to save lives through organ donation, something those closest to him say he was passionate about doing in the event he passed.

An investigation is underway in Muscle Shoals after two Sheffield police officers were shot in a shootout Friday afternoon with a man previously convicted of manslaughter.

This incident should have never happened, because a coward who should still be in prison was walking the streets.
