“This industry is wide open,” said Nicole Burnette.
She and Gail Syfert own Queen Hemp Company. They currently make CBD products like oils and lotions.
“We’re very busy making alliances and making sure we have our ducks in a row,” explained Burnette.
Queen Hemp plans to expand into a larger building. They’re positioning themselves for not if, but when medicinal and recreational cannabis become legal.
“We’re certainly not behind. But there are things that should be put in place that North Carolina should be looking at now ahead of implementing any bill that might pass,” said Burnette.
