The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation on Sunday announced a total export receipt for crude oil and gas valued at $120.49m for the month of September 2020.
NNPC’s Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Kennie Obateru, said the figure was contained in the September 2020 edition of the corporation’s Monthly Financial and Operations Report.
He said in a statement issued in Abuja that the $120.49m crude oil and gas export receipt was a 16.28 per cent improvement on the $100.88m posted in August 2020.
The report showed that out of the figure, proceeds from crude oil amounted to $85.40m, while gas and miscellaneous receipts stood at $25.31m and $9.78m respectively.

Gas utilization is set to expand in Nigeria as Shell Nigeria Gas (SNG), has signed a 20-year agreement with manufacturers and other users in Lagos and Ogun States.
In a statement obtained by Vanguard, Shell, which referred to the agreement as, ‘the new deal with the Nigerian Gas Marketing Corporation (NGMC),’ disclosed that, SNG will also extend its distribution network to Badagry to serve a new market in the border community.

Residents of Arepo and Magboro in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, as well as motorists and commuters, were in panic on Wednesday after a gas pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation was ruptured by employees of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, who were working on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The agency said the Lagos-Ibadan expressway has also been reopened to commuters plying the road.
NAN reports that the gas pipeline was unintentionally ruptured due to road construction activity early on Wednesday.
Mr Ibrahim Farinloye, Acting Zonal Coordinator, South West Zonal Office, NEMA, who confirmed the development in a statement said, “The gas leakage has stopped about two hours ago and traffic has been open for commuters.
“However, supplies of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) into Lagos will commence after repairs are concluded on the ruptured pipeline.
“The Nigerian Gas Marketing Company has mobilised specialists to commence repair work,” he said.
